Empowering Parents to Advocate for Their Special Needs Children

I'm here to help you navigate the education system with confidence and clarity.

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), a former elementary school teacher with 23 years of experience, a parent to a neurodivergent teenager, and a passionate advocate for children and families, I bring a wealth of knowledge and personal experience to the table.

Navigating IEPs, IPRCs, report cards, and Ministry of Education policies and procedures can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. My mission is to empower parents like you to advocate for your child and ensure they receive the support they need and deserve.

How I Can Help You

  • Understand your child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) and ensure it aligns with their needs.

  • Prepare for and attend Identification, Placement, and Review Committee (IPRC) meetings with confidence.

  • Decode report cards and assessments to better understand your child’s progress.

  • Clarify Ministry of Education documents and how they relate to your child’s rights and accommodations.

  • Advocate for services and accommodations with the school system by attending in school team meetings, IPRC meetings and parent interview meetings

  • Write and send letters to school board staff, psychologists, helping professionals

  • Compose emails to school staff that outline laws, policies and human rights

  • Advise you about the pros and cons of the French Immersion stream and how special needs are addressed

Whether you're just starting out or have been navigating the school system for years, I’ll provide personalized support to:
